Dear Ms. Chetty
Firstly, a huge thanks you to you and your staff for your care, support and patience during our
unplanned visit to MIOT International Total Eye Care on Monday. The care and reassurance we
received while we were with you bowled us both over, and we cannot thank you all enough.
After camping out in your clinic for most of the day, having had no formal response from our
insurance company as to what we should do, we decided we should take up the offer that our local
travel agents, Creole Travel, had made to move to a small hotel while we awaited on information on
flights back to the UK. Just as we were about to leave, our UK Travel Agents contacted us to say that
they had found 2 seats (the last 2!) on the Qatar flight leaving at 8:30PM on Monday evening. We
accepted this and went straight to the airport. After a very straightforward flight, we arrived in
Edinburgh at 6.50am on Tuesday morning.
I forwarded a copy of your report to my optician asking for an emergency appointment, but they
phoned back quickly to say that everything they needed was in your report, that they didn’t need to
see me and that they had forwarded your report to the Edinburgh Eye Pavilion, the specialist NHS
facility in Edinburgh.
Later that afternoon, I was seen in an emergency appointment, then on Wednesday I was admitted
as a patient. I had my surgery on Thursday morning and am now home and recovering well.
We have been treated so well at every stage of this process by all, and especially by you and your
staff at a very scary time.
Thank you again for everything. We hope to return to the Seychelles in future, but in the meantime
please do pass on our heartfelt thanks to your colleagues for all they did for us, and thank you again
for taking the time to see me on Monday.
Yours sincerely
Andrew and Valerie Noble
